Ahead of their upcoming tour welcoming new bassist Carl Dawkins to the band, New Delhi groove/tech metallers have released their new single “Alpha Absolute.”

The song, which was was recorded at Studio Fuzz and is mixed and mastered by engineer Justin Hill (former co-vocalist at UK metaller SikTh), is Undying’s first since 2014’s Ironclad EP and their first with London-based Dawkins, who joined the band earlier this year after bassist Reuben Bhattacharya left in November last year.

Featuring a frenetic aural pace and hints of new elements, including vocalist Shashank Bhatnagar’s expanding range, “Alpha Absolute” has a music video directed by Srijan Mahajan (a photographer and drummer for rock veterans Parikrama, electro-rockers FuzzCulture) featuring a sort of never-ending fight between mixed martial artists Siddharth Singh and Emilia Emila, interspersed with shots of the band performing.

It’s technically one of Undying’s first music video and it arrives just in time for their upcoming seven-city tour, which kicks off on March 21st in Kochi and includes shows alongside Nepal metallers Underside in Bengaluru, Hyderabad and New Delhi. While “Alpha Absolute” will be available as a digital single later this month, the band is selling All of Undying CDs on tour, collating all their releases spanning more than a decade.
