The track is the first single off an upcoming four-track EP titled Chronicles that Klanjan is currently working on. He says about the song, “’Lay You Down’ is a love song I’d written about a year back. It is an intimate song.”

In the clip, Klanjan is seen playing the song at Mumbai’s Nritya Shakti Dance Studio while two dancers, Sourav Sharma and Vidhi Maheshwari, perform a choreographed routine to the music. The video was shot and directed by independent filmmaker Subodh Rajam.
