Canadian hip-hop/R&B duo Two’s A Company get euphoric on their latest single “BNB Boomin.” It sees rapper Shehzeb Iftakar aka ZAIB and rapper-producer Kirishan Suresh aka Kiwi? (his moniker is stylized with the question mark) emerge with a potential club banger, released via South Asia-focused label and artist platform maajja.

Produced by Kiwi? and Raqs, the skittering song exudes a laidback, honed kind of confidence about Two’s A Company’s roots and upbringing. The hook and suitably buoyant production drives home the point of why the duo can’t stop, and won’t stop, their rise to the top.The artists say in a statement, “’BNB Boomin’ is a house-party anthem describing a vivid night, [with] upbeat yet chilled out production. ‘BNB’ is our ode to the relentless party culture and a summary of an epic night out, Project X-esque, if you would.”

The song is their first release of 2022 and follows their 2021 single “Vince.” Previously, Two’s A Company appeared on “Creep Show” off of fellow South Asian-Canadian artist Shan Vincent de Paul’s album Made In Jaffna. The duo adds in their statement, “The song was four years in the making, one that started at an actual BnB cottage rental during the summer of 2018. We honed in on the energy of high-octane hip-hop along with the slow and sexy dancehall flare that the post-hook switches into. Merging these two worlds in an experimental fashion allowed us to break through creatively into what has influenced our sound over these past years.”

They describe their latest release as the first of many, and say that “BNB Boomin” is “the pioneer to the onslaught of music we have coming in 2022.”

Listen to “BNB Boomin” below. The song is out on streaming platforms on May 20th.
