The Chinese pop singer will join Norwegian producer Alan Walker for a special set in Chicago
Chinese singer-songwriter, producer and actor Lay Zhang will add a solo U.S. debut to his list of achievements with his first appearance at music festival Lollapalooza 2018 in Chicago.
The pop star, who also goes by the mononym Lay, is set to appear onstage during Norwegian producer Alan Walker’s set, which runs from 4:45 – 5:45 PM (CDT) on the Perry Stage on Friday, August 3rd. Walker broke the news on his Instagram last night, stating, “Happy to announce that @zyxzjs [Zhang] will be joining me on the @lollapalooza show in Chicago this Friday! We’re up to something good! What do you think it is? ”
Zhang is a member of the highly popular South Korean boy group EXO but has been focusing on his solo projects in his home country China for the past two years. He launched the Lay Zhang Studio in 2015 and has since released two EPs and his first LP LAY 02 SHEEP. Zhang is currently working on a yet-to-be-titled second studio album.
