Three Members of Fifty Fifty Cut by K-Pop Agency Attrakt for Alleged Breach of Contract

"Attrakt will take strong action against all parties who conspire to break the contract and do not show any remorse," the agency wrote in a statement about members Aran, Sio, and Saena

K-Pop Agency Attrakt, which formed the K-pop group Fifty Fifty, has cut members Aran, Sio, and Saena for allegedly defaming the agency and seeking to break their contracts.

In a statement sent to Rolling Stone Tuesday, the agency said that the organization’s CEO announced they had “terminated the exclusive contract” of the three members. (Member Keena remains under contract.)

“The three members, Aran, Sio, and Saena, left the agency without permission for the purpose of breaking the contract, slandered and defamed the agency, and to this day continue to distort facts and make false claims, repeating arguments that have been rejected by the court, without any remedy for the breach of contract,” the statement from Attrakt read. “Going forward, Attrakt will take strong action against all parties who conspire to break the contract and do not show any remorse.”

Attrakt accused the members and Siahn, the CEO of another agency named The Givers, of conspiring to breach the contract agreement with Attrakt. (Siahn told Billboard in April that they were simply proposing a “newstructure” for the group.)

The statement comes as the group members alleged that Attrakt had breached its contract by not providing accounting data and neglecting the members’ mental health, according to the Korea Times. Keena was originally part of the lawsuit but dropped it.

“Keena had been trying to convince the other three members since July to mend the improperness, and we are grateful to Keena for having the courage to return to the agency and confess the truth in regard to what had been happening during the time,” Attrakt added in the statement.

A rep for Fifty Fifty at Warner Records did not immediately respond to Rolling Stone‘s request for comment.

Fifty Fifty released their debut project, The Beginning, featuring several versions of their hit “Cupid,” in late September. They also dropped “Barbie Dreams” featuring Kaliii from Barbie the Album over the summer.
