Danish death metallers Dawn of Demise headline the fourth edition of TNT Y Fireball, one of the biggest annual music shows held in Guwahati. This is the first time that the event will feature international artists as part of the line-up. Bhayanak Maut, Indus Creed and Papon and East India Company have previously the show.

A tribute to Kargil war hero, Captain Jintu Gogoi, Fireball 2012 will feature seven acts including Kolkata metallers Chronic Xorn, Cypher16 [UK], Dark Carnage [Guwahati] and folk rockers Aobo Naga & the band. David Koch of Rocka Rolla, who has been organizing the event since its inception in 2008 says, “Like always, Fireball has been organized with the twin purpose of keeping the music alive and encouraging the youth to join the armed forces.”

Guwahati is Dawn of Demise’s second stop on their three-city tour organized to promote their new album, Rejoice In Vengeance. They previously headlined the Imphal Metal Convention on October 18 th and will perform at Rebel County in Shillong on October 20th. Bjørn Jensen, bassist of DOD, which won the Best Live Act category at the Danish Metal Awards [DMeA] in 2007, says, “It’s our first trip to India.
We hadn’t heard Indian bands before but they are really good. Though many of them played amazing covers, we hope to hear more original stuff soon.” About their debut gig at Imphal Metal Convention, Jensen adds, “We had a great time playing for about 1,600 metal fans. The sound was crazy, barricades were broken and the wires were torn, but we had a really good time.”
