Former 2NE1 member and veteran K-pop star Sandara Park has joined Abyss Company. The label has added the vocalist to their impressive roster which comprises popular artists like soloist Park Won, R&B group Urban Zakapa, Sunmi and GOT7’s BamBam.

Abyss Company’s announcement post about the news included a minute-long video grounding its pace in the sounds of a ticking clock, unveiling Park’s face at the end of the countdown.

Sharing their views on the partnership, Abyss Company stated, “We are happy to be part of the new beginning of Sandara Park, who has been loved both domestically and abroad for a long time. We will of course support her to the fullest so she can show the public her new sides and charms that she has yet to showcase, and she will carry out various activities for global fans as well.”

Earlier this year, Park announced her departure from YG Entertainment after nearly 17 years. Home to successful acts such as Big Bang, BLACKPINK, iKON and more, YG Entertainment was also behind Park’s trend-setting K-pop girl group, 2NE1. Post the group’s disbandment in 2016, Park remained in the spotlight through her appearances on musicals, variety shows and promotional assets for various beauty brands.
