Farhan Akhtar, When Chai Met Toast, KR$NA, Suzonn Set for Inaugural Freebird Music Festival in Guwahati

The two-day festival will take place on December 9th and 10th, featuring Assamese artist Shankuraj Konwar, rock bands Lady Midday and Rain In Sahara and others

Peak gig season in India gets a new entrant in Guwahati this December. Kochi indie-folk act When Chai Met Toast, singer-composer and actor Farhan Akhtar, hip-hop star KR$NA, singer-songwriter Suzonn, Assamese artist Shankuraj Konwar and more will be part of the debut edition of Freebird Music Festival, held at The Greenwood Resort in Guwahati on December 9th and 10th.

The two-day festival — which has been put together by four friends who formed the company Lazykick Events — will also include performances by rock band Lady Midday, socially-conscious rock band Rain In Sahara, singer Neel Akash and indie rock band Cloud Collective. More artists are expected to be announced in the run-up to the festival.

A press release adds, “For the past seven months, they planned and curated a team of 13 people, dedicated themselves to the meticulous planning and execution of the Freebird Music Festival.”

Tickets for the Freebird Music Festival are on sale now, with early bird general access (₹699), VIP (₹899) and fanpit (₹1499) per day and ₹1,199 (general access) and ₹1,599 (VIP) for season passes.
