CONTRA – “Rain”

Mumbai-based rock outfit CONTRA storms onto the indie scene with their debut single “Rain,” a haunting exploration of emotional numbness and desolation. Produced by Siddharth Basrur, the song’s heavy grunge sound plunges listeners into darkness, culminating in the chorus “colors I feel no more” echoing desperation. Vocalist Manas Jha describes it as a visceral journey through grief, where even the simplest pleasures fade into oblivion. CONTRA sets the stage for their upcoming EP. Accompanied by a powerful music video, “Rain” delves into the protagonist’s inner conflict, urging a confrontation with inner demons.

Biancca, Suyash – “Din Raat / Off My Mind”

“Din Raat / Off My Mind” is a vibrant pop/funk, disco fusion crafted by Mumbai singer Biancca and Chennai producer Suyash. Exploring the exhilarating rush of initial attraction, the song captivates with its catchy hooks and dancey beats. Biancca’s lyrical prowess shines as she delves into the complexities of infatuation, while Suyash’s production infuses the track with funky guitars and infectious rhythms.

Kay – “Russia”

“Russia” by Kanishka Lohar aka Kay, unveils a mesmerizing sonic journey that transcends boundaries. Mumbai-bred and New York-based KAY’s latest creation captivates with its enigmatic lyrics and infectious melody. Delving into realms of imagination and inevitability, “Russia” beckons listeners with its thought-provoking narrative. For Kay, each composition is a vivid painting, a convergence of emotions and experiences. With “Russia,” she invites audiences to dance to its pulsating rhythm while pondering its deeper meanings.
