Anand Bhaskar Collective – “Jaadoogari”

On their latest offering, Mumbai Hindi rock outfit Anand Bhaskar Collective showcases a reflective and poignant new song titled “Jaadoogari.” The track includes swerving violin parts by musician and producer Ajay Jayanthi, melodic drums and guitar layers while lyricist Nidhi Sethia joins frontman Anand Bhaskar – who delivers an emotional performance – in penning the song’s introspective words. In a statement, the band said, “[It is] a song that describes the emotion of love the way people feel it, but isn’t restricted to a certain type of relationship. This song is for all the living beings in the world and is applicable to all the relationships they enjoy being in.” “Jaadoogari” also comes with a beautiful animated video that has been directed and illustrated by Mukund Sincro.

5yndik8 – Eve

New Delhi electronica outfit 5yndik8 – comprising bassist and electronic artist Akshat Pradhan and drummer Ranajoy Das — recently dropped a new two-track EP titled Eve via Mumbai label Noosphere. The songs, “Part 1” and “Part 2,” include groove-driven dance music juxtaposed with ambient soundscapes as well as in-your-face melodies.

Daira – “Mazaar”

Mumbai rockers Daira have followed up their 2020 optimistic single “Basar” with a rousing new song titled “Mazaar.” The fresh track features the band’s “art-rock” sound that includes funky guitars, a tight groove, scintillating horn parts as well as soaring vocals. The band composed “Mazaar” with fellow artist Ashwin Lal. On the inspiration behind the song, vocalist Piyush Kapoor said in a statement, “Words can make or break you. As artists, we get inspired by all the positive comments but one troll or destructive feedback hampers the self-confidence massively as much as you try not to pay any heed to them.”

Angad Trehan – “Vans and Paper Cups”

Bengaluru-based musician Angad Trehan’s newly released single is the contemporary and dynamic “Vans and Paper Cups.” The track opens with a delicate acoustic guitar picking before it opens up with lush instrumentation, Trehan’s effervescent vocals and also a slick guitar solo from the musician. According to the artist, the track details “the journey and the thoughts of a couple leaving the city in expectation of happiness and freedom.”

Akshit Dhall – “Kiss Me”

Rohtak-based singer-songwriter Akshit Dhall’s latest track is a soulful pop ballad entitled “Kiss Me.” It includes hauntingly beautiful piano playing and string sections while Dhall’s high timber voice carries the track as he sings of love before a soulful guitar solo rings out during the outro.
