Shivang Arora – “Ye Ajnabee”

Currently based in Chennai studying Audio Engineering at A.R. Rahman’s KM College of Music and Technology, singer-songwriter Shivang Arora recently released his latest melancholic single “Ye Ajnabee.” The new song comes complete with a solid arrangement, lush instrumentation, Arora’s emotive vocals and more. In a statement, Arora said, “Sometimes relationships don’t work out and moving on becomes very messy and you stop recognizing that person you were once in love with. This song is about that mess and that stranger.”

Madhav x Sahaj – “Milon”

New Delhi musicians Sahaj Chawla and Madhav Khanna have joined forces and collaborated on the pop-infused “Milon.” With swirling electric guitar parts, claps and whistles, pleasing harmonies and a cutesy vocal delivery, the song ticks all the boxes for a perfect morning listen. “The song celebrates the love that’s undying. The love that has shown up equally in the good and in the bad, through the up and especially through the down. A love that has lived, celebrated, forgiven, laughed and cried. After having lasted a lifetime, a love that’ll now live forever,” the duo said in a statement.

Sanjana Devarajan – “Leher”

On her newest single, “Leher,” Mumbai-based singer-songwriter Sanjana Devarajan moves away from her usual pop approach and transitions into a more underground indie sound. With the use of percussions along with a plucked electric guitar and strong piano embellishments, Devarajan uses her poignant vocals to bring the track together. The artist said in a statement, “‘Leher’ is about acceptance, hope and growth – it’s an ode to my musical journey thus far.”

Max Kate and Xeede – Years

Mumbai-based producer Max Kate has once again collaborated with vocalist Ayush Rawat aka Xeede on their new three-track sophomore EP Years. The songs on the record lean towards a more alt rock oriented sound while lyrically the songs talk about a hopeless romantic.

pelle – THE REST IS NOISE

Chennai-born producer Adhityan R. aka pelle recently dropped his eight-track debut album THE REST IS NOISE via Mumbai’s Export Quality Records (a new division from artist management agency Third Culture). The record juxtaposes the artist’s influences and brings together sonic selections from pop, hip-hop and electronica while pelle effortlessly fuses genres together culminating in a dynamic collection of smooth tones, tactile textures and moving melodies. In a statement, he said, “I’ve been sitting on this album for over six months now and I don’t take this long to put stuff out ever. I usually just put songs out on my SoundCloud as soon as they’re done. Now that the record is out, I can focus on making more music.”
