Cosmic Grooves, Anoushka Maskey, Shaur – A New, Clear Winter

Mumbai-based producer Pranay Bakshi aka Cosmic Grooves calls upon the voices of singer-songwriter Anoushka Maskey and vocalist Shaurya Singh aka Shaur for a brand new five-track seismic EP entitled A New, Clear Winter. Shaur’s unmistakable baritone vocals coupled with Maskey’s angelic singing and Bakshi’s inspirational production makes the record quite an emotional and invigorating listen. In a statement, the artists said, “The EP is a narrative from the perspective of a protagonist who is a civilian recruited as a soldier in World War II and continues to serve in the military up to the Cold War. It follows his perspective through the defining moments of human history.”

Shia, Narha – “Metamorphosis”

Mumbai artists Shia and Narha team up for a spellbinding hip-hop/R&B effort called “Metamorphosis” that has been released via New Delhi rapper Prabh Deep’s label Purple Wav. Produced by beatsmith Zero Chill, Shia and Narha juxtapose melodies, rhymes and lyrical dexterity to create a mind-altering and shape-shifting sound. Through the track, the artists talk about their trials and tribulations as women in the 21st century.

Aneesha Dass, Pranay Parti – “Inside Out”

New Delhi-based singer-songwriter Aneesha Dass recently worked with producer Pranay Parti on her latest electro-funk track “Inside Out.” The song– off Dass’ forthcoming EP – includes dancey elements, indulgent production, heavy synths as well as the singer’s catchy vocal hooks and smooth lyricism. The artist has also released a trippy music video to go with the song.
