Cosmic Grooves, Anoushka Maskey, Shaur – A New, Clear Winter
Mumbai-based producer Pranay Bakshi aka Cosmic Grooves calls upon the voices of singer-songwriter Anoushka Maskey and vocalist Shaurya Singh aka Shaur for a brand new five-track seismic EP entitled A New, Clear Winter. Shaur’s unmistakable baritone vocals coupled with Maskey’s angelic singing and Bakshi’s inspirational production makes the record quite an emotional and invigorating listen. In a statement, the artists said, “The EP is a narrative from the perspective of a protagonist who is a civilian recruited as a soldier in World War II and continues to serve in the military up to the Cold War. It follows his perspective through the defining moments of human history.”
Shia, Narha – “Metamorphosis”
Mumbai artists Shia and Narha team up for a spellbinding hip-hop/R&B effort called “Metamorphosis” that has been released via New Delhi rapper Prabh Deep’sPurple Wav. Produced by beatsmith Zero Chill, Shia and Narha juxtapose melodies, rhymes and lyrical dexterity to create a mind-altering and shape-shifting sound. Through the track, the artists talk about their trials and tribulations as women in the 21st century.
Aneesha Dass, Pranay Parti – “Inside Out”
New Delhi-based singer-songwriter Aneesha Dass recently worked with producer Pranay Parti on her latest electro-funk track “Inside Out.” The song– off Dass’ forthcoming EP – includes dancey elements, indulgent production, heavy synths as well as the singer’s catchy vocal hooks and smooth lyricism. The artist has also released a trippy music video to go with the song.
