Inspectah Gracious – Perspective

On her recently released six-track debut EP Perspective, Mumbai hip-hop artist Inspectah Gracious has dabbled with Sigmund Freud’s theory of psychodynamic perspective. In a statement, she said, “The three main components of this theory are the id, ego, and super-ego. The songs in the EP resonate with all three components.” Sonically, the record includes spoken-word parts, trap, R&B elements and more. Inspectah Gracious also calls upon fellow artists such as Arittra Nayak, RASLA, Noizick and Nevamind to feature on the EP.

FuzzCulture – “Breeze”

New Delhi/Mumbai electro-rocker Arsh Sharma aka FuzzCulture’s latest release comes in the shape of the gritty “Breeze.” The track embodies everything FuzzCulture is about with its booming bass sounds, heavy guitar tones and slick electronic elements. “Breeze” is also accompanied by a well put-together music video — directed by Barun Kashyap — featuring Priyasha Bhardwaj. Sharma said in a statement, “The song lyrically is about the act of disassociation while being in a space full of people, using real life and surrealist analogies.”

Mo Boucher – Souljah

Hyderabad reggae/rap artist Mo Boucher has just dropped his new nine-track album entitled Souljah. The record is filled with fiery rhymes, upbeat production and plenty of groovy elements. A statement the artist released read, “Hip-hop and reggae music represent the voice of the people. We use our voices against oppression in all forms. When we see something wrong in our community, we speak about it in our music. Our music makes people think. We try to give them a new perspective and inspire them to question not only society’s ills, but also themselves. Apart from that we make sure our music best reflects our life journey and true selves.”
