Randolph Correia will spend the summer in Germany to remaster Shaa’ir + Func’s first two albums, also to re-release Func International records on Flipkart

The change in geography, Correia says, is to search for inspiration. “It’s a completely new city for me and I’ve always wanted to travel there, mindless and without agenda. I just know where I am going to be staying. I’m leaving the rest up to chance to inspire me.”
While Correia has musician friends in Germany’s clubbing capital, he doesn’t have any plans to collaborate with them yet. “I am not saying no, but I am not sure if we will make music together yet. There will hopefully be a lot of new songs written down and more ideas when I come back to work on a new [Shaa’ir+Func]Â album,” says Correia.
But before Correia sets out, he will be reissuing two albums titled Dubba and Mushroom Maratha from his solo DJ project, Func International, via Flipkart. The 2003-2004 records are currently being refurbished at Func’s workshop. “There are some unreleased tracks as well that have been lying around and my friends have been pushing me to release it. Hopefully, they will be out before I leave for Berlin.”
