FuzzCulture’s New ‘Violent Delights’ EP Is a Bold Artistic Leap

New Delhi/Mumbai electro-rocker FuzzCulture, the brainchild of artist Arsh Sharma, unleashes his latest sonic masterpiece Violent Delights. This four-track EP not only marks a pivotal moment in FuzzCulture’s artistic journey but also signifies a bold step into uncharted territories, with Sharma personally taking the reins in directing and animating all accompanying music videos.
Violent Delights follows in the footsteps of its predecessor, 2021’s five-track EP Strange Cities. However, the new EP embraces a more intimate and unfiltered approach to FuzzCulture’s songwriting. The synths resonate with rawness, the drums maintain a minimalist presence, and the bass takes command, creating a sonic landscape that reflects the ever-evolving essence of FuzzCulture.
The lyrical narrative of Violent Delights spans a spectrum of themes, from self-actualization to the impact of modern technology. “Bots Attack !” delves into the imminent threat of an AI apocalypse, “Fidget Spinners” tackles the concerning issue of children developing ADHD from an overload of digital content, “Summer’s Gone” paints a vivid picture of moving on from the past and embracing the present self, while the title track celebrates unabashed ownership and pride in one’s unique eccentricities.
In a statement reflecting on the EP, Sharma shared, “The EP for me represents the start of the next chapter in the story of FuzzCulture. The synths and sounds are all analog, the vocals are raw, and the videos are all self-directed, giving a complete overview of the imagination I have in my head while making music. I hope this EP brings people a little bit closer to the essence of what FuzzCulture is meant to be.”
