Gig series Generation WHY returns for a fifth edition on September 3rd, in partnership with Rolling Stone India and will finally make its Pune debut at the city’s popular music venue High Spirits Café. The artists scheduled to perform are Mumbai singer-songwriter Aarifah Rebello, experimental pop band Lawntuba and electronica collective Jwala.

Regarding Generation WHY’s expansion to another city, inceptor Aftab Khan says, “It’s massively exciting to be heading to Pune. The High Spirits is a lovely venue and the people of Pune are lovely too. We’re bringing some of the best new talent to the city, and Pune should be ready to witness something they’ve never seen before.”

As far as the talent is concerned, Khan has yet again curated a genre-bending lineup. From Rebello’s soft and subtle musicianship to Lawntuba’s pop rock sound and Jwala’s easy-going, chillwave and ambient-leaning songs, the gig promises something for everyone.

“I for one am really excited about Lawntuba. They’ve been in the studio and writing new songs that they’ll be premiering at the show,” says Khan. He adds, “Aarifah is one of my favorite singer songwriters and has been delivering some phenomenal performances recently.” On artist collective Jwala, Khan states that they will add an entirely new dimension to the gig.

Generation WHY Edition 5 Presented by Rolling Stone India will take place on September 3rd, 2017 at High Spirits Café in Pune. For more information, click here.
