If the upcoming performance by the disco legend Giorgio Moroder this weekend has already made you want to reach for disco headbands, you’d be better off keeping those shiny things handy tomorrow as well. A gig in the city promises a nostalgia trip that you wouldn’t want to miss. Mid-Week Disco, curated by District Fifty, will feature four city-based DJs paying tribute to the multiple Oscar and Grammy-winning Italian music legend. Kris Correya X United Machines [live], Kini Rao and LoboCop will present a heady mix of disco, nu-disco and a special mash-up of Moroder tracks. Yes, there will be trippy visuals too!

If you’re a Moroder fan, don’t miss watching Correya and United X in a special live analog vs digital disco mash-up. Correya will be slicing Moroder tracks such as Donna Summer’s Seventies hits “I Feel Love” and “Love to Love You Baby”, “Chase” [from the 1983 classic Scarface’s soundtrack], separating the basslines, melodies and hooks, while United Machines will accompany him on analog synths and drum machines. LoboCop and Kini, on their part, will be playing a groovy disco set.

Attend Mid-Week Disco at Bonobo on Wednesday, December 9th, from 9 pm to 1 am. Entry is free.
