The latest edition of the gig series will feature performances by instrumental outfit Letters, post/prog band Celestial Teapot and fusion act Paratra next week
In a bid to push independent music forward in India, Mumbai event agency Layover Social has been working closely with city-based venue The Quarter for a monthly gig series called Wicked Talent Night (WTN) since May this year.
For the upcoming edition of Wicked Talent Night, which is scheduled to take place on October 30th, the lineup features Mumbai instrumental/progressive metal band Letters, Pune instrumental rockers Celestial Teapot and Mumbai electro rock band Paratra. Besides the acts on show, musicians attending the gig are also invited to join in for a jam session once all the performances have been concluded. Says Francis Reys, Founder, Layover Social, “At its core, WTN is about getting artists to connect with each other.”
On what people can expect from the gig, Reys explains, “Well I think it’s going to be a crazy night, perfect Halloween acts. Hard, heavy and wicked [and] prog rock and prog metal as never before heard at The Quarter.”
