Portugal-bred singer-songwriter Cristóvam delivers a mellow yet glittery new single titled “Love, Be On My Side.” In the new song, the artist sings about the need to stay next to your loved ones even during tough times. In a statement, he says, “It was one of those guitar riffs that you just know there’s got to be a song around the corner. This is the song that came with it.”
Brooklyn, New York-based singer/composer Raina Sokolov-Gonzalez recently dropped her dynamic new single “Better For You.” The track features rhythmic piano phrases, groovy elements as well as Sokolov-Gonzalez’s hypnotic vocals. While the song also comes with an exuberant video, the artist says the track “highlights the ways in which women contort themselves physically and emotionally to be more desirable.”
Brit rockers The Clockworks pull no punches on their fantastic new single “Feels So Real.” Shaped with crashing drums, gritty vocals and a hooky melody, the song bangs on all fronts. California rockers Cheridomingo throw in punchy bass parts, soaring vocals and resolute guitar riffs on their new pop-punk offering “Swallow.” While the song is about expressing anger and distress in an immature way, the band have also released a gritty music video to accompany the track.
Canada-based alternative/soul singer-songwriter Nuela Charles’ multicultural upbringing has allowed her to cultivate a fresh and diverse sound for herself. Charles’ newest single, “Space,” includes groovy sections, her sultry vocals and more while lyrically, she gives an honest response to needing space to salvage a relationship. She says, “Even though it was written prior to the pandemic, it kind of fits perfect. We’re all longing for personal interactions, but for the safety and wellbeing of everyone, we’re told we need to separate.”
Toronto-based singer-songwriter Christina Jewell’s melancholic track “Ain’t No Supermodel” serves as an anthem to women in pursuit of their dreams amidst daily struggles. Jewell – who is a former model herself – expresses her frustration at the modeling industry through poignant lyrics and a laidback sonic canvas.
Los Angeles-based anti-pop artist EMM recently dropped the first visual to a three-part musical and visual experience in the shape of the slinky “Adderall.” Filled with stunning vocal harmonies and melodies as well as a catchy chorus, the song is a mellifluous earworm. “My project is about a girl who goes through hell. But instead of letting it define her, she intentionally uses her darkest experiences as the catalysts to become her own hero.”
Italian-bred and London-based DJ/producer Marco Dalla Villa teams up with singer Leanna Gage for the mellow and chilled out dreamy single “Wonderful Days.” The track includes tropical drums, shiny synths as well as swirling guitar lines and Gage’s optimistic vocals.
