Among the latest mainstay Indian music festivals to return after the pandemic lull is Goa Sunsplash, the reggae festival that takes place on January 13th and 14th at the recently launched antiSOCIAL in Morjim, Goa.

Launched in 2016 and taking place in different spots in Goa until 2020, a digital edition of Goa Sunsplash did take place in 2021 during the pandemic. Now, after four years, Goa Sunsplash will bring reggae, grime, electronic music and more from international and Indian artists across two days.

Headliners at the forthcoming edition of Goa Sunsplash include Trinidad’s reggae veteran Queen Omega, Jamaican DJ Anthony B, plus grime artists like Sir Spyro and Killa P, jungle/drum and bass veteran Congo Natty, seasoned U.K. soundsystem and production duo Iration Steppas, German artist Warrior Sound and more.

Indian reggae and electronic music favorites repping at the two-day festival include Reggae Rajahs, 10,000 Lions, Su Real, hip-hop band Bombay Bassment, Hyderabad-origin Lady Skavya, Trini soca artist Keshav and others. U.K. artist Tara Lily infuses a bit of R&B to diversify Goa Sunsplash, as does fusion act Prem Joshua and the Band.

A press release for the festival states, “Goa Sunsplash has long been a symbol of cultural diversity and unity, and the 2024 edition aims to rekindle that spirit after a period of global challenges. The festival organizers are committed to providing a safe and immersive experience for all attendees, adhering to the highest standards of health and safety protocols.”

The event sets up at antiSOCIAL Goa, which has been hosting a ton of parties in the peak live music season in India at what has been described as an “Ibiza-style beach club” by parent company Impresario’s CEO Mayank Bhatt.

Tickets for Goa Sunsplash are currently selling at phase one prices for ₹3,599, with phase two tickets set to be priced at ₹4,899 onwards via the Zomato app events tab.
