GoMAD 2013 Festival Lineup Announcement

After spending three months rescheduling (and throwing in a Pentagram gig in between, in June), the organizers of GoMAD festival have a new lineup ready for the three-day event to take place from October 25th to 27th at Fernhills Palace, Ooty.

Originally slated to take place in May, organizers announced in April that they were postponing the second edition of the festival owing to key supporting sponsors backing out.

The new lineup for the three-day music, arts and dance festival includes performances by Kochi fusion rock act Baiju Dharmajan Syndicate, Shillong blues duo Soulmate, New Orleans soul/hip hop group Tank and the Bangas, Texas electronica artist Loryn, Australian indie rock artist Luke Jon Shearer, Rajasthani folk singer Kutle Khan, Bengaluru thrash/death metallers Inner Sanctum, alternative/psychedelic act The Bicycle Days, Kolkata rap act Gandu Circus, alt rock band Neel and the Lightbulbs, progressive/technical metal band Blind Image, electro rock band Sky Rabbit, hip hop act Bombay Bassment and EDM act BLOT, among others.

With more acts expected to be added to the lineup, GoMAD 2013 tickets are available at early bird prices as camping packages and festival passes. While the palace package [which includes stay, food, airport pickup and drop and a three-day pass to the festival] costs Rs 39,500 for two persons, a family campout package comes for Rs 10,000 for four persons. Camping for two at the festival costs Rs 7,500, while a festival season pass costs Rs 2,000 and single day passes are available for Rs 1,500.
