The three-day festival in Ooty has been pushed back due to supporting partners backing out
Almost month ahead of the D day, the GoMAD festival has been pushed back. The festival was scheduled to take place between May 10th and 12th, in Ooty. A statement from the festival organizers on their Facebook page said:
“We are very sorry to announce that the goMAD festival is being postponed as the key supporting partners have backed out of the event. GoMAD is being rescheduled to a new date in 2013 and will be announced shortly. The decision to postpone has been a hard one for all of us, as we’ve directed tremendous amount of energy, enthusiasm and resources towards making this event a success.”
The statement further added all ticket holders should contact ticketing website BookMyShow for a full refund of tickets or mail info@gomadfestival.com. The organisers added that new dates will be announced once they sign on new partners.Â
The second edition of the festival, which was originally called the M.A.D. festival, was to take place in May, featuring performances by the likes of electro rock band Pentagram, alt rock band Thermal and A Quarter, hip hop/electro group Grand Pianoramax, alt rock band Junkyard Groove and reggae/ska band The Ska Vengers among others.
