Guru Randhawa Crosses 14 Billion YouTube Views Globally

‘This milestone is a proud moment,’ says the Punjabi hitmaker

Punjabi pop artist Guru Randhawa’s music has surpassed 14 billion views on YouTube, with the “High Rated Gabru” hitmaker claiming the title of the first Indian musician with that many streams on the platform.

Randhawa – whose official artist channel on YouTube has 4.4 million subscribers and a total of 749 million views – has often been the face of releases by major labels like T-Series, Zee Music, Speed Records and others. Songs like “Lahore,” “Suit,” “Ban Ja Rani,” and “Ishq Tera” were among Randhawa’s breakout hits, coming at a time when YouTube was also steadily building its user base in India.

The singer, songwriter, producer and composer says in a statement, “This milestone is a proud moment, not just for me but for Indian music as a whole. It shows how far our sound has traveled and how powerful it can be in bringing people together. I’m honored to represent India on this platform and remain forever thankful to everyone who has been a part of this incredible journey.”

The most-viewed songs in the past year by Randhawa according to YouTube charts include “Ishare Tere” with singer Dhvani Bhanushali, “In Love” with hip-hop artist and songwriter Raja Kumari, “Pagal” with Punjabi veteran Babbu Maan and more.

Most recently, Randhawa released his song “Punjab” in December 2024 and announced that he’ll continue his foray into acting with the upcoming Punjabi film Shaunki Sardar set to release on May 16, 2025.
