Gwen Stefani Talks No Doubt’s ‘Really Nostalgic’ Sphere Residency on ‘Fallon’

“I think the Sphere is the future,” singer said of Las Vegas venue. “It’s kind of a cross between a concert and a movie”

Gwen Stefani talked about No Doubt’s upcoming Sphere residency and hoping to make it “really nostalgic” for fans during a visit on Wednesday on The Tonight Show.

“We’re excited,” Stefani told Jimmy Fallon. “We did Coachella, and it was so unbelievably amazing, and we’re kinda talking for a while — we do everything slow — but we were talking for years again, trying to find that thing that would be as good, and I think the Sphere is the future, you know what I’m saying? It’s kind of a cross between a concert and a movie.”

Stefani then talked about what vibe the band is going for with the Sphere residency. “I think the goal — I mean it instantly sold out; I think we have six more shows left — I want people to come and make it feel really nostalgic, like they’re back in time, like ‘Remember this? Remember this, guys? This is what we did together,’” Stefani said of the fans. “They’re a big part of our lives, and we want to see them in Vegas.”

While No Doubt’s Sphere shows won’t take place until May 2026, the band is already deep in the planning stages for the shows due to the sheer amount of preparation required to stage concerts at the Las Vegas venue.

“We got together one time so far at the house, did the setlist. It’s pretty different from a regular show, there’s all these calendar dates, ‘This has to be done,’ because they have to program everything,” Stefani said. “It’s gonna be so awesome.”

Stefani and Fallon then talked about Christmas music and the latest reissue of her You Make It Feel Like Christmas, which features two new songs, including “Shake the Snow Globe,” which Stefani later performed on The Tonight Show:
