It’s been a historic and meteoric rise for Hanumankind and Kalmi’s “Big Dawgs” ever since it was released on July 9. One month on, the track – which took the world by storm also due to its music video directed by Bijoy Shetty – has charted ahead of Kendrick Lamar’s massive song “Not Like Us” on Spotify’s Top 50 – Global charts.

While the Instagram page Rap reported that it was number 10 as of Aug. 8, “Big Dawgs” is now at the 11th spot, still head of Lamar’s now-legendary Drake diss. As some would rightly point out, it’s only fair that “Not Like Us” loses some of its momentum three months after its release (the music video came out last month), and the Indian rap song also charts ahead of Eminem’s “Houdini.”

“Big Dawgs” – released via Mass Appeal India – currently has over 37 million streams on Spotify. It made an emphatic entry on the Billboard Hot 100 charts claiming number 57, a debut for both Hanumankind and Kalmi.

It also stands in 43rd place on YouTube’s Top 100 Music Videos Global chart, with more than 35 million vibes.

It is also placed at the top of the all genres Apple Music chart in India and occupies the 19th spot on Apple Music’s Top 100 Global playlist.

Crossing over to the U.S. where it’s received tons of spotlight through social media, “Big Dawgs” also has over 111 million views on TikTok and has been looked up on Shazam nearly 700,000 times.

Hanumankind has since been announced as a part of Capitol Records and was also announced to perform at Ziro Festival of Music in Arunachal Pradesh, taking place between Sept. 26 and 29, 2024.
