Hailing from the city of Amravati in Maharashtra, RAPHOPpER are a young, dynamic hip-hop collective who know exactly how to pack a punch.
Comprising rappers Anuraag Khairkar aka Khaer, Saurabh Abhyankar aka 100RBH and Darpan Nandeshwar aka Jamdaar, RAPHOPpER spit verse in both Hindi and Marathi, often pairing lightning fast verses over fusion-infused old school hip-hop beats. The crew gained attention after 100RBH’s verse on “India 91,” a track from the 2019 Bollywood film Gully Boy, granted him viral attention–the 21-year-old rapper spits absolute fire in Marathi, rapping about hard work and achieving his dreams, throwing shoutouts to Marahashtra’s burgeoning hip-hop scene while he’s at it.
The crew’s lyricism often centers around similar topics; growing up in Amravati, working hard, focusing on their artistry and building recognition in the music industry by defying expectations set upon them by Indian society.
RAPHOPpER will be performing live at Haq Se Hindustan, a concert presented by digital media firm Qyuki and Rolling Stone India on November 14th at Famous Studios in Mumbai. Get tickets here.
