Hear Armaan Malik Reimagine ‘You’ With Hindi Version ‘Tu / You’

The Mumbai singer-songwriter released the new track as part of the Spotify Singles program, to celebrate his birthday

Last week, Mumbai singer-songwriter Armaan Malik released a new song to celebrate his birthday. Although the English version of his track “You” has been doing the rounds for a few months, Malik dropped a Hindi version of the tune in the shape of “Tu / You” on his 27th.

The latest offering has been released as part of Spotify Singles, a program that the streaming platform has created to allow artists to re-record any of their already-released material with a fresh approach.

“Tu / You” includes delicate plucked acoustic guitar parts, Malik’s harmonious vocals, pop production and more. In a statement, the artist said, “The response to ‘You’ has been phenomenal. It’s probably my most successful global single to date. ‘You,’ being my first English ballad, is extremely close to my heart. A lot of my fans have been eager to listen to the song in Hindi ever since its release earlier this year, which is why I am truly excited to bring the official Hindi rendition of the song as a part of the Spotify Singles track as a surprise for all my fans on my birthday!”

He added, “I hope this song makes listeners feel like they are getting a big warm hug from me on a gloomy rainy day and [it] goes on to make a forever place in their hearts.”
