19-year-old Ajmer-based pop artist Jasmine Mohammed aka Jzzy grew up constantly surrounded by music. Whether it was drawing inspiration from teen sitcom Hannah Montana or “strong female artists” such as Avril Lavigne or rockers Paramore’s Hayley Williams and currently South Korean group BLACKPINK, Jzzy had her sight set on fulfilling her dream to become an artist. After the release of her debut single “Shades of Blue” last year, the musician is now out with her latest offering, the enchanting “Just a Glimpse.”
Jzzy penned the new track about a year ago while dealing with a personal experience and the feelings that came with it. She says, “I sat down with my guitar, and basically, the song just wrote itself.” The powerful pop ballad includes haunting synth parts, electronic elements as well as Jzzy’s evocative vocals. The musician says, “It is about being confused in a relationship but also wanting to get to know the other person more by asking them to be honest.”
“Just a Glimpse” was produced by U.K.-based George Gleeson and New Delhi’s Van Music, who also mixed and mastered the song. Jzzy has also put out a homemade music video to support the track. Next, the singer-songwriter is prepping to release the first single from her forthcoming EP. She says, “When life gets back to normal I look forward to performing my music.”
