Hear oceanfromtheblue’s Dreamy New Single ‘Scent’

The romantic R&B track is the third release from the singer-songwriter's upcoming full length LP

South Korean R&B artist oceanfromtheblue has unveiled his first release of 2023, a hazy and romantic new single titled “Scent.” The singer-songwriter and producer is a prominent name the Korean R&B scene and made a name as a rising star right from his debut in 2018 with the full-length LP, Luv-fi(2018).

Written and co-composed by oceanfromtheblue, “Scent” is a slow R&B number with warm brushes of acoustic guitar and downtempo percussion. The track is about being infatuated with the scent of a lover and being in love with everything about them. In a statement about the track oceanfromtheblue explains, “I wanted to incorporate the sense of smell in my music.” Other composers on the track include producers Earn, Heechan and Yagyung.

“Scent” is the third single from oceanfromtheblue’s upcoming full length LP. The track follows his 2022 releases “Come Back Home” and “Treasure,” both of which will also feature on the record.

In addition to working on his upcoming untitled album, oceanfromtheblue will be the first South Korean artist to join Apple’s ‘Today at Apple’ sessions. The singer will perform an acoustic set and meet fans at the Myeong-dong Apple Store in Seoul on January 19th.
