The track marks the South Korean group's first release in four years

K-pop group VIXX’s members Hyuk, Leo and Ken have returned with a special new single for their fans titled “Gonna Be Alright.” The track marks the South Korean group’s first release in four years following their 2019 single, “Walking.”

“Gonna Be Alright” is an emotional and uplifting piano pop ballad about perseverance and hope. In the lyrics, VIXX assure listeners that everything is going to be fine and sticking together is the key to moving on from hardship: “All the moments we spent exhausted and lost/ And all the days of laughter and days of tears/ All the worries I had felt so trivial/ Since your love for me had always/ Filled me up to the very end/ We gonna be alright.”

The music video comprises animated visuals and features a lone figure jogging through various landscapes. The lyrics pop up on the screen as the song progresses and the figure runs past sunsets, parks, fireworks and more. The video ends with the figure joyously floating up into the sky surrounded by fireworks. In addition to the animated video, VIXX also released a special clip of Ken, Leo and Hyuk performing the track live. The three members will also hold a special fan concert titled [ING: As Always] on January 7th.

Originally a sextet, VIXX currently comprise a total of five members– N, Leo, Hyuk, Ken and Ravi. Vocalist Hongbin departed from the group in 2020. Over the last few years, some of the members have been fulfilling their mandatory military enlistments while others have pursued solo projects. The most recent solo releases have been from vocalist Leo and rapper Ravi in 2022. VIXX’s last album release as a group was in 2018 with their third studio album Eau De VIXX
