Here are a few titbits about our performing artists

Ahead of Rolling Stone India presents Hennessy Freestyle Concert, a showcase of India’s incredible hip-hop movement, hosted by Raaj Jones, on October 28th at the Jio World Convention Centre, BKC, in Mumbai, we’ve put together a few fun facts about our performing artists Dino James, Ikka, Fotty Seven, Rashmeet Kaur, Dee MC, MC Altaf, D’Evil and Shia.
Dino James
Dino James shot to underground fame with his debut music video “Girlfriend” back in 2016, the song struck an immediate chord with an audience that was perhaps waiting for emo hip-hop.
Ikka
Ikka’s collab on the 2022 song “Trap Munde” with Badshah saw him reunite with his old friend from the hip-hop crew Mafia Mundeer.
Fotty Seven
Fotty Seven has made appearances on albums by pop heavyweights such as Badshah and Arjun Kanungo.
Rashmeet Kaur
Rashmeet Kaur has “Mann Jitte Jag Jeet” tattooed on her which translates to “Conquer the Mind, Conquer the World.”
Dee MC
Dee MC initially wanted her stage name to be Aura.
MC Altaf
MC Altaf released a one-take music video for his song “Soch.”
D’Evil
D’Evil is known to add a slice of humor to his music.
Shia
Shia began learning how to play the guitar in the sixth grade.
