Every month, we cast a spotlight on the notable/up-and-coming DJs and producers, and the hot tracks and remixes that kept us moving and grooving.

The first month of 2022 proved to be quite eclectic. From original tracks by heavyweights like Kaskade to remixes by rising DJs like Dodi Palese, it’s been a month of moving forward while looking back.

Inspired by his night mountain bike rides, while looking up to the stars in the sky, Chris Malinchak starts the new year off with another instant chill-classic for the ages with “Saving My Love.” Seamus Haji, meanwhile, returns to form with a remix of DJ Meme’s “I Can’t Get You (Out Of My Mind) that will leave you wishing for more. The Pet Shop Boys deliver a cool remix for Claptone and DIZZY’s “Queen Of Ice,” while Jamiroquai’s signature song “Virtual Insanity” gets a new lease of life on the dance floor with a remix by Bklava.

Calvin Harris and his moniker Love Regenerator are back in collaboration with Riva Starr for “Lonely” featuring the vocals of Sananda Maitreya. It’s been long since we heard Maitreya in a more mainstream affair, and lovers of the 1980s will recall that he formerly went by the name of Terence Trent D’Arby! The singer still sounds as smooth and sensual as he did all those years ago.

Tensnake also returns with his own remix of his 2020 release “Call Me” featuring HEXE, giving it a fresh spin for the new year. Gorgon City do their thing on Ben Kim’s cover of Jefferson Airplane’s classic “Somebody To Love.”
