The second month of 2022 proved to be filled with some killer remixes including Booker T doing putting his own stamp on the Soul II Soul classic “Keep On Movin.” Released originally in 1989, it seems the single will continue through eternity get facelifts thanks to the timeless foundation of Jazzy B.

Meanwhile, DJ Cinthie’s remix of Dusky’s “Static” is perfection, and the same goes for Jody Wisternoff’s work on the Alan Fitzpatrick and Lawrence Hart track “Closing In.”

Grammy-nominated CamelPhat are back with “Silenced”— another banger that’s likely to get them entry into the nominees category at many dance award shows, while Fred Falke continues to aspire us to follow a chill way of life, this time with “2am Sunset.”

All in all, with the cold winter days behind us now, the music seems to be perking up and getting us all out of our hibernation. Tracks like “Malaika,” a fascinating collab between Andre Rizo and El Mukuka featuring Cephas Maseko, and “Liquid” by Space Motion with Narah fit the vibe perfectly in this moment.
