4) Too Cool For Old School: Randolph

Randolph Correia, the reticent producer/guitarist/composer, leaves the stagetronics to bandmates Vishal Dadlani [Pentagram] and Monica Dogra [Shaa’ir + Func], but manages to draw the spotlight anyway. At this NH7, Correia swapped football jersey and track pants from the Pentagram set for a black shirt, skinny pants and a mask for his Shaa’ir + Func appearance and finally turned into an apron-clad chef at the Masterchef cook-off stage. All with requisite elan. Entrenched in the scene as a part of Pentagram for 18 years and Shaa’ir+Func for seven years, Func made dance music cool when nothing outside of Bollywood and heavy metal existed. The now defunct metal band Pin Drop Violence also sought out Correia to mix their debut milestone album. Oh, and the former JJ School of Arts grad can make you some funky sketches if you ask him nicely.
