The beer and street culture showcase in Delhi will also feature rising stars from the hip-hop scene next weekend
Hip-hop music fans, unite. Simba Uproar is knocking on your door! This November 19th and 20th, the DLF Promenade in New Delhi will be the center of a showcase that involves a musical extravaganza, a unique fun fest, and a melting pot of beer, hip-hop and all things street. India’s leading craft beer Simba has unveiled a distinctive catalog that includes the finest hip-hop acts in the country as well as a holistic experience. Simba Uproar will feature art, culture, urban sports and a lot more.
Taking centerstage are meteoric hip-hop artists like King, musicians from the hip-hop label Azadi Records such as Ahmer, DJ Blunt, Jelo, Prabh Deep, Rebel 7, Seedhe Maut and Tienas, as well as Ikka and Gully Gang, comprising MC Altaf, D’Evil, Shah Rule, Tsumyoki, Riar Saab, DJ Proof and Karan Kanchan. In addition, Agsy, DAKAIT, Ab 17, Yungsta, Aniket Raturi, DJ Kan-i, DJ Kave, Rawal, Raga, Secular Chai and Aghor will all be joining them. Music producer Sez On The Beat and his collective, The MVMNT, are also on board.
Thrilled to bring the most stellar acts in the Indian hip-hop community to Delhi, Ishwaraj Singh Bhatia, Co-founder and COO of Simba Beer, says, “With artists hailing from the underground and the mainstream, this genre has evolved by the year to be the most sought-after.”
He adds, “Following a two-year hiatus, the music industry is picking up its beat. Simba Uproar is an experience where these home-grown artists across music, art, urban sports and fashion will unite and conquer the stage and bring diversity under one roof, as we want to curate a lifestyle festival escapade to reckon with, an experience that revs up the street-culture vibe to the central stage.”
Over the past six years, Simba has solidified its position as a national brand that appeals to millennials and has demonstrated its dedication to giving talented indigenous musicians a voice. Simba Uproar aims to foster and embody a street-culture ecology that includes music, art, high-street fashion and urban sports.
“If there was ever a golden period to be an artist or enabler in India, it is now,” says Nirmika Singh, Executive Editor, Rolling Stone India. She adds, “Simba’s investment in hip-hop and urban culture is just what the scene needs and we are glad to be partnering with them on amplifying a new league of diverse, inspiring artists from across the country.”
