#HitsOfTomorow: Kasabian, Enrique and Miranda Lambert, LE SSERAFIM

This week’s ‘should-be’ hits features new music from Jacob Collier, Guy Sebastian and Sam Fischer, Real Estate, Ari Abdul, Nemzz and more

The month of February ends with a few big new releases. After a successful night (albeit less than she deserved) at the Grammys, SZA returns with “Saturn.” The track is familiar territory for the artist, dreamy and full of emotions. Perhaps content with her current era, the single comfortably fits into her “SOS” world.

Thankfully Selena Gomez advances a bit sonically this time around with her latest “Love On.” After the minor misstep that was last year’s “Single Soon,” the single provides an edgier production for Gomez’s always on-point delivery. The track will likely catapult the singer back to the top and here’s hoping she continues to build on this single’s likely momentum.

Other new releases include the next track release from Justin Timberlake’s forthcoming LP. “Drown” doesn’t seem to really offer anything new, but at least it’s more like what we expect from Timberlake. Ditto for Central Cee – “I Will” will likely blast up the charts but in a short span, the rapper is becoming a bit too predictable.

While all these singles will impact the charts, let’s have a look at this week’s #HITSOFTOMORROW, the SHOULD-BE hits of the week.

Artist: Guy Sebastian, Sam Fischer

Song: Antidote

“A legit beautiful ballad that soars thanks to the Sebastian’s and Fischer’s emotive vocals blending to perfection”

Artist: Durante, Nathan Nicholson

Song: Holding On

“That bassline, the synths and Nicholson’s vocals make this an ethereal treat from Durante”

Artist: Kasabian

Song: Call

“Psychedelic indie dance rock from Kasabian – we’re here for it. ‘Call’ is one their best single in years”

Artist: Nemzzz

Song: PTSD

“Nemzzz deserves that global breakout hit and ‘PTSD’ just screams smash”

Artist: Ari Abdul

Song: DFHMPU

“Catchy, current and instantly quotable – this is what Top 40 needs!”

Artist: LE SSERAFIM

Song: EASY

“LE SSERAFIM continue to give us crossover bops that just hit different”

Artist: Real Estate

Song: Flowers

“The indie rockers gives us a country hit we didn’t know we needed but hey, we love it”

Artist: Enrique Iglesias, Miranda Lambert

Song: Space In My Heart

“Two names that don’t go together but as Iglesias wraps up his singing career, why not go country like his Dad and score a Number One like he did!”

Artist: Jacob Collier, John Legend, Tori Kelly

Song: Bridge Over Troubled Water

“Thrilled to see Collier include Yebba’s remarkable cover but the last two minutes with Kelly are gold. If only Top 40 be so daring to feature this!”
