Every week, we’re going to take a look at some of the new and noteworthy singles just released that in a perfect world, should become the hits of tomorrow.

“TELL IT TO MY HEART” – MEDUZA, Hozier

While not quite as bizarre as this being a cover of Taylor Dayne’s Eighties classic “Tell It To My Heart,” this original house track by Italian DJs MEDUZA features none other than Hozier on vocals making for an unusual pairing. But the “Take Me To Church” vocalist makes us all willingly ready to follow him as easily to dancefloor. The Italian trio score big here, after their billion-streaming hit “Piece Of Your Heart” earned them their first Grammy nomination last year. The single deserves for the same to happen again.

“LOOK WHAT YOU’VE DONE” – Emeli Sandé, Jaykae

I’m not quite sure what went wrong with Emeli Sandé. She has consistently made fantastic records over the years yet nothing seems to stick quite like the endless hits from her massive debut album Our Version Of Events. I’m hoping that lightning strikes again for the criminally underrated singer. “Look What You’ve Done” is the first self-produced track for Sandé and the beautiful combination of the piano and the strings wrapped in the U.K. garage style sound that made her a star nearly ten years ago works wonders here.

“DROP DEAD” – Grandson, Kesha, Travis Barker

With the deluxe edition of grandson’s Death of an Optimist album slated for release in December, it was a wise move on the artist’s side bringing on Kesha and Travis Barker for this surprisingly optimistic track. In life, things don’t always the way they do on screen and here, especially with the addition of Kesha, the song boldly works as an anthem for all about being proud, flaws and all with who they are… no matter what.

“BEST OF ME (Originals)” – Alicia Keys

I’ll be honest, it’s been a while since I had that one Alicia Keys song that I wanted to play on repeat and “Best Of Me” might finally be the track that does that for me again. Dedicated to her husband (and producer) Swizz Beatz, the song is classic Keys but with an updated sound to it that makes it pop as crisply as if it were the latest from SZA. Keys has always been a force to be reckoned with but lately, she’s been following trends rather than sticking to her sweet spot, her love for melody, the piano and yes, true soul.

“COMMUNICATE” – Florrie

Ever since her EP Experiments blew me away a decade ago, I’ve really been wanting to see Florrie flourish. She has managed to continue recording great pop but continues to stay under the radar, garnering critical acclaim, a devoted fanbase but never that much deserved global breakthrough. “Communicate” is classic Florrie, it sounds familiar, there’s an ease to it, it feels like it could fit on any number of playlists and that just might be what stops the singer from having that big hit.

On the cusp… here are three more new releases we hope to see go far!

“TELEPATH” – Conan Gray

“BLACKSKIN MILE” – CeeLo Green

“OH NA NA” – Myke Towers, Camila Cabello, Tainy
