This week may feel like it’s all about Adele and the release of her 30 LP but there are a number of stellar singles released this week too. While the latest from Saweetie, French Montana and a reworking of Bebe Rexha’s “Sabotage” now with “Astronaut In The Ocean” rapper Masked Wolf are likely to get traction, here are this week’s #HitsOfTomorrow that perhaps need a bit more a push.

“Erase Me” – Lizzy McAlpine, Jacob Collier

When Grammy-award winning musician Jacob Collier is involved, no matter who ultimately produces the project, it has that Collier magic. Here that works beautifully on rising star Lizzy McAlpine’s “erase me.” The song has just the right combination of the singer/songwriter vibe with a cinematic crescendo that makes the song a perfect fit for radio and even Top 40. Give this track and the artist a chance, you’ll be playing this one on loop very quickly.

“Quit Your Job” – Maia Wright

The Swedes just do it better. Maia Wright’s latest bop “Quit Your Job” has literally all the right ingredients necessary for a smash hit. Will she get that push she deserves, I certainly hope so! This so seamlessly fits into the current Top 40, it’s actually surprising it’s not playing already!

“Do It Again” – El Mukuka, Youngr

Zambian DJ and producer El Mukuka joins hands with British singer Youngr for “Do It Again.” The cool summery feel of the track feels like a breath of fresh air making for a perfect combination of the two artists’ styles coming together. The euphoric single is likely warm up any cold night in the near future.

“Let You Go” – Boy In Space

Robin Lundbäck aka Boy In Space returns with a passionate new single “Let You Go.” The Swede delivers here with haunting vocals and a spacey vibe, matching the tone of the somber lyrics. After having success with his collaboration with Alan Walker on “Paradise,” it’s good to hear him back on his own and giving his all.

“Gangster Of Love” – Aiyana-Lee

We don’t get many young R&B stars these days able to sing ‘like they used to.’ Aiyana-Lee seems destined for that. Part Alicia Keys, Part Emeli Sandé – “Gangster Of Love” is straight up soul but with enough of a modern edge lyrically and sonically that there’s no doubt, the rising talent is on her way to soaring high.

Special Mention:

“Everywhere” (BBC Children In Need) – Niall Horan, Anne-Marie

First of all, I have a soft spot for this Fleetwood Mac classic. Niall Horan and Anne-Marie join hands for a good cause in their surprisingly cool cover of this feel-good track. Ed Sheeran, Griff and Yungblud play guitar, synths and bass on the track respectively. The proceeds benefit the BBC CHILDREN IN NEED fund and so I say anything we can do support the kids while also bopping along to a song that will make any kid smile is a good thing. It’s likely going to go to #1 in the U.K. but for the rest of the world, let the revival celebration of Fleetwood Mac continue!
