Exclusive: Watch Holland Vlog About Love, Life, BTS and Being LGBTQ+

The K-pop star answers fan questions for Rolling Stone India

Published by

Last month we asked our readers to send in questions for K-pop star Holland. What we didn’t anticipate was the flood of over 2000 entries by the end of the weekend. The singer’s fans from India (and around the world) wrote in with queries about his music, hobbies, favorite artists and collaborations. Several even confided in him about their fears around being LGBTQ+, seeking advice from South Korea’s first openly gay K-pop idol on how to deal hate, malicious comments and bullying.

“My fans mean everything to me,” Holland had told us during our exclusive interview with him last month and decided to prove it via an intimate vlog-style Q&A video. In this clip, the “I’m Not Afraid” singer opens up about the business of being an indie artist with no agency, his love for superstar K-pop group BTS, offers heart-warming advice to his LGBTQ+ fans and hints at a future collaboration with popular R&B singer and fellow out-and-proud celebrity, MRSHLL.
