The song quickly garnered a lot of attention, racking up over 25 million views across various social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and X. Its original cypher clip not only made widespread acclaim but also sparked a multitude of fan reaction duets, showcasing the track’s impact on audiences.
American rapper Kid Cudi’s recent retweet of the song teaser signaled immense anticipation and excitement for its official release. Now, with “Muqabala” out via music label Mass Appeal, the track retains its same captivating verses from the viral freestyle, however, elevated by the masterful production skills of The Kidd, renowned for his collaborations with the late Sidhu Moose Wala. This dynamic collaboration amplifies the raw energy of the original freestyle but is enhanced in a way to stand out.
Talking about the song, The Ranjha says, “This song is all about a mirror to [the] youth. Everybody nowadays gives priority to showing off and being cool by influencing each other [with] cars [and getting] intoxicated, that is what I observe on a regular basis around me and my neighborhood and wrote about that.”
