Imphal Talkies and The Howlers, also known as Imphal Talkies, are a four-piece folk rock band from Imphal, Manipur. Formed in 2008, the band comprises Riki Chingangbam (Vocals), Akhu Ronid Chingangbam (Guitars and Vocals), Sachidananda Angom (Guitars) and Raju Athokpam (Bass). Their delicate guitar leads, mellow drums and elegant vocals drive their music. In 2009, they released their debut album, Tiddim Road, which was called the voice of the North East. They are working on another album. They perform at a number of protest rallies in and around New Delhi, such as at a protest event at Delhi University and other public spaces.
