India International Music Week 2026 Opens Applications for Artists

With the second edition of music conference India International Music Week (IIMW) setting up in Mumbai between Feb. 10 and 12, 2026, applications for artists looking to perform as part of the showcase festival are now open.

The upcoming IIMW 2026 promises “more artists, new segments and wider participation across India and the global music ecosystem,” according to a press release. The inaugural edition of IIMW in Goa in February 2025 brought in over 400 delegates, spanning more than 30 countries, with a few bands mounting multi-city tours around their appearance at the showcase.

IIMW is now inviting applications from emerging artists across the globe and India to perform in Mumbai. The deadline for submission of applications is Oct. 10, 2025. Although the application form stipulates that IIMW does not cover travel, accommodation, visas or pay an artist fee, those selected will be given pro passes with entry to the conference, showcases, and associated networking events.

The conference also promises “connections with promoters and bookers of concerts and festivals happening before, during and after IIMW” based on the artist’s profile and will put forward support for “planning/recommending” cities and venues for an India tour around IIMW. For international artists, the conference organizers will also send out invite letters for visa purposes.

Tickets for IIMW 2026 are expected to go on sale later this month.

Including those who applied and curated acts, artists who performed at IIMW 2025 in Goa include Asian underground pioneer and tabla artist/producer Talvin Singh, nu-disco/funk act Madboy/Mink, Chennai act Jatayu, Austrian rock trio Mother’s Cake, Shillong powerhouse blues artist Tipriti Kharbangar, Indian-origin rapper Tracy De Sa, singer-songwriter Anoushka Maskey, rapper Tsumyoki and DJ-producer Stalvart John, among others.
