To participate, all artists/bands must submit original music compositions on the Nexa Music website
If you’re an original artist creating English-language music in India, then the newly launched Maruti Suzuki Nexa Experiences’ Nexa Music is for you. Rolling Stone India has collaborated with Nexa Music and digital media company Qyuki to curate the project which is a nationwide year-long hunt for emerging talent.
To participate, all artists/bands must submit original music compositions on the Nexa Music website after which a jury, comprising Grammy award-winning composer and co-founder of Qyuki, A. R. Rahman and Bollywood composer Clinton Cerejo, will shortlist 24 contestants who will be chosen. Out of these 24 contestants, the best four will be shortlisted and guided to create four new tracks and music videos. They will also get to be part of a multi-city tour and perform at 12 live events across India.
Nexa Music will be headlined by three of India’s best-known independent musicians: Indus Creed’s frontman Uday Benegal, Mumbai singer-songwriter Nikhil D’Souza and singer/performer Anushka Manchanda.
With entries being accepted until February 28th, time is running out ”“ apply immediately.
