The day-long festival takes place in Bengaluru on November 18th, with a Chennai edition announced for December 16th
After taking place in different parts of India – and even hosting an edition in Dubai last year – Indiegaga Music and Arts Festival kicks off the first of five city editions in Bengaluru on November 18th, with a diverse lineup.
Fusion act Thaikkudam Bridge and Carnatic prog fusion band Agam – both part of the Wonderwall family who organize Indiegaga – are headlining alongside Mumbai metal band Bhayanak Maut, singer-composer Sanjith Hegde, Tamil band Oorka, Kannada hip-hop/pop artist All Ok, singer-songwriter Arya Dhayal and Bengaluru-based duo Lavi & Foenix.
Taking place at the Manpho Convention Centre as an outdoor event, Bhayanak Maut and Agam share just one commonality – they’re both on the same festival lineup for the second time this month, following their performance at Mahindra Independence Rock in Mumbai.
Thaikkudam Bridge, who incidentally performed at I-Rock last year, will return to play crowd favorites in Bengaluru. More variety comes in with homegrown artists like Sanjith Hegde and All Ok, plus Tamil act Oorka, whose members Bharath Sankar and Pradeep Kumar have individually become known for film soundtrack work in the Tamil movie industry.
Rounding out the lineup are singer-songwriter Arya Dhayal (also on the Wonderwall artist roster) and emerging pop-informed duo Lavi & Foenix.
Following their Bengaluru kickoff, Indiegaga travels to Chennai on December 16th, with that edition slated to include Thaikkudam Bridge, Agam, plus Sean Roldan & Friends, prog band Pineapple Express, hip-hop artist Hanumankind, Kerala fusion act Project Malabaricus and Chennai-based rock band RJD and multi-lingual band Staccato.
Forthcoming editions of the Indiegaga Music and Arts Festival are expected to be announced to place in Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode until February 2024.
