Intervals Set for India Tour In October

The Canadian prog band led by Aaron Marshall will make their India debut this October and November, running through four cities

After at least one false start to their India debut, Canadian prog act Intervals will make their way to the country later this year. Led by founding member, guitarist-composer Aaron Marshall, Intervals are set to perform in Mumbai, New Delhi, Bengaluru and Bacardi NH7 Weekender in Meghalaya between October 30th and November 3rd.

While rumors of Intervals’ India debut have been going around since 2017 – when they were nearly confirmed to join Australian prog peer Plini for their Plintervals performances – Marshall and his band have three club shows and a festival appearance this time. That same year, Intervals released their third full-length album The Way Forward. The band has previously supported prog acts such as Animals As Leaders, Protest the Hero and The Contortionist on tour. The signature happy-prog instrumental music follows up appearances by similar acts in India over the last two years, including Plini and Polyphia.

The tour is brought together by Bengaluru-based event and artist company Bohemian Live. Founder Amarjeet Singha says, “We wanted to bring Intervals for some time now and had been in touch with their U.K. agents – Atonal for a couple of months. It was still in talks when Gravity Talent came onboard as Atonal’s partners and we started to chalk out the deal with them. Gravity is managing the Weekender part whereas we are taking care of all three club shows. I’m happy that we are kicking off the season with a much awaited act like Intervals. We have many more to offer in the coming months.” While tickets are out now, support acts and further details will be released shortly.
