Filming will commence in early 2020

Lior Raz in 'Fauda.'
Earlier today, Mumbai-based content studio Applause Entertainment announced that they would be adapting the critically acclaimed Israeli drama Fauda created by Israeli journalist Avi Issacharoff and actor and screenwriter Lior Raz. The show starring Raz (Operation Finale), Tomer Kapon (The Boys), Rona-Lee Shim’on (Policeman) and more is set to premiere its third season soon (the first two seasons are available on Netflix) and follows an Israeli counter-terrorism unit to delve into both sides of the Israel-Palestine conflict.
The Indian version will chart the intricacies of the conflicting relationship between India and Pakistan, deconstructing the historical conflicts between the countries to offer a new perspective. Applause Entertainment has previously adapted international shows such as U.K. drama Criminal Justice, Israeli drama Hostages, U.K. and U.S. sitcom The Office and Israeli comedy series La Famiglia (Mind The Malhotras) for Indian audiences.
The script is currently underway and filming will commence early next year. The cast and crew are yet to be announced.
