Composed of members Jihyo, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu, K-pop hitmakers TWICE announces a remixed version of their official full-English single “The Feels.” Remixed by Italian DJ and producer Benny Benassi, “The Feels (Benny Benassi Remix),” joins the track’s previous remixed versions “The Feels (The Stereotypes Remix)” and “The Feels (Yves V Remix).”
Announced ahead of the group’s forthcoming world tour, Twice 4th World Tour “III,” the single is said to be a “dynamic” remix of the original track. Reviving the allure of the Nineties, TWICE’s “The Feels” grounded its composition in the upbeat era of disco-pop with synth-percussion and infectious guitar riffs, matching the track’s overarching thematic of love at first sight: “Cause I can feel a real connection / A supernatural attraction / I got the feels for you, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.”
“The Feels” marked a pivotal moment in the group’s career, earning them their first-ever entry in the competitive Billboard Hot 100 chart and UK Singles chart, where the single peaked at the 83rd and 80th spot, respectively. The single also debuted at #12 on the Billboard Global 200, making it TWICE’s highest performing song on the chart, and was mentioned in several year-end lists including Rolling Stone India’s 21 Best Korean Music Videos of 2021.
The track is, however, not the group’s ‘first’ English single. While “What You Waiting For” (the B-side on TWICE’s 2019 Japanese album, &Twice) was the first one, “The Feels” is TWICE’s first ‘official ‘English single. In the past, the girl group has also released two English versions of their Korean tracks “More and More” and “I Can’t Stop Me.”
Comprising eleven shows (seven shows in America and four in Asia), Twice 4th World Tour “III,” will kick off its first show at The Forum, Inglewood on February 15th, and will conclude on April 24th at the Tokyo Show, Japan. Two out of the four Asian shows concluded in the last week of December at the KSPO Dome in Seoul, South Korea.
