The festival, which will take place in Pune next month, has also programmed a ton of homegrown acts
Music festival Bacardi NH7 Weekender – which is scheduled to take place in Pune this November between the 25th and 27th – announced that American rapper J.I.D will be on the bill this year. The news comes after Weekender had previously revealed that the likes of American alternative folk band The Lumineers and Sweden-based jazz fusion outfit Dirty Loops will also be performing at the festival.
While the international acts have made a noise for good or bad reasons in the comments section on social media, the festival has also offered its stages to tons of local artists ranging from first-time performers such as singer-songwriters Saachi and Utsavi Jha to bands that include Fox In The Garden and VelvetMeetsATimeTraveller, as well as seasoned festival performers in the shape of artists Tejas, Parekh & Singh, The F16s and Easy Wanderlings.
In addition to J.I.D being announced for the second phase of the lineup yesterday, other acts that have also been added to the festival lineup include singer-songwriter Anuv Jain, hip-hoppers KR$NA and Meba Ofilia, and thrash metal band The Down Troddence, among others.
While there are more names yet to be revealed, there is also a murmur of comedians being added to the lineup. Keep your eyes and ears peeled to see who is to be added to the festival bill next.
