With exceptionally great albums, EPs and new artists in the scene this year, we can expect an equally exceptional edition of Jack Daniel’s Annual Rock Awards. The awards night is slated to be held in February 2014 and entries are now open across all categories including Best Band/Artist, Best Album, Best Song, Best Metal Band, Best Female Vocalist, Best Male Vocalist, Best Guitarist, Best Bassist, Best Drummer, Best Keyboardist, Best Producer, Best Album Art and the relatively new category, Best Emerging Act. Entries must be singles, EPs and full-length album released between October 1st, 2012 and September 30th, 2013.

Last year, the awards night saw the top honors going to bands such as Delhi experimental and fusion band Advaita and Mumbai rock veterans Indus Creed. The show witnessed performances by Mumbai punk pop band BLEK, Mumbai jam band Something Relevant and an epic all-star jam with vocalists like Siddharth Basrur, Suman Sridhar, Garreth D’Mello, Saba Azad, Rachel Varghese and Rohan Mazumdar covering tracks by veteran Indian bands.

The best emerging act category was introduced two years ago with hip hop/drum and bass outfit Bombay Bassment bagging the first one and dance punk act BLEK winning it last year. Bands and artists can send in their entries until December 6th. Five emerging artists get a slot to perform at Hard Rock Cafés across the country including Pune, Delhi and Bengaluru.

Send in your entries here. (This app can only be accessed by those over 25 years of age).

Emerging artists below the age of 25 can send in their entries to editor@rollingstone-india.com
